Specific Media Roles - Working In the Creative Media

Specific Media Roles 

The chosen Media Role I have decided on is Social Media Management. It is of interest to me as I have previously been trained on this during my work placement and i thoroughly enjoyed working with this role. The area requires alot of knowledge on how certain media websites work and how other people will view them, because millions of people will check into the online servers every single day to take them away from reality for a quick gossip online, therefore a majority of companies will rely on social media to sell their products where many people will access and view them. On my placement, my role in social media management was to advertise our company and to attract new clients to whoever would like to gain our services for advertising their companies or videography or photography. In my experience, I gained the company alot of business with different clients, all requiring a range of services from our team, and this is important to broading out the business and getting as much work as we can. Before my placement, i was an avid user of Social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Youtube and had a strong idea of how advertisements would be shown, and in what manner, so it came natural to writing out my own posts and in what layout. Social media management can be worked on from any computer, either at home or work, making it a very versitile occupation 

Another responsibility I had was being a Visual and Audio Editor for many clips the company had recorded, I had access to all Adobe software, mainly focused on Premiere Pro and Photoshop, sometimes using Logic Pro. This is also another occupation that interests me greatly because there is so much freedom when it comes to editing and all the techniques that comes with it, it really allows you to express your creativity. It isnt as reliable as a source of income as Social Media Managing is, because that is a constant responsibility however in Editing, clips and photos can become limited with what the company has access to so there may be dry spells of work, which can leave you out of pocket. I had little experience in Editing before I joined Meash Media but they gave me a good boost in the right direction in this media role. Again, this job can be accessed from home or from an office, depending on what resources are avalable to the employee.
